FaithTrip Hail

...to show forth the praises...

Surveying the damage

Eggplant

Hail

Kale

Kepler
Green Onions

Trying to stay the water from flooding the tomato house

Ice-packed spinach

Cherry Tomatoes

Big tree downed in front yard missing the Seedhouse

What a week it's been for Oklahoma!
We thought we missed the worst of it after the tragedy in Moore.

But then the sky turned black this morning.
Radar coloured deep red.

After 45mins in the shelter we emerged...to this.

A friend stops by to collect his order.
Words of encouragement pours from his lips.
"You are privileged to be entrusted with this."

And so BetterTogether has received a low blow.
Ya,  I'll admit there's a lot of questions rolling around in my head...but I know this: FaithTrips only become more glorious as we learn to trust our Creator with EVERYTHING and give thanks.

  1. oh wow. I am so sorry. May God create beauty from the {ashes}.... I thought our three hail storms in one hour yesterday was bad but our hail was not big like yours and my plants are not destroyed.

  3. Wow! What damage! I sure would be disappointed if my garden was damaged like that! But God will take care of you, and will turn it out for good!

  5. Father says to ask whether or not the garden will survive? Hope it recovers. :)

    1. @Hannah - Relay to UP that gardens are resilient things. They are bound and determine to keep growing regardless. Obviously, some of the plants (like the lettuce) were damaged beyond repair, but others, like the eggplant and kale, are coming back. The Lord has blessed and we're learning many lessons through the process.
